The Wagah border is a crossing between India and Pakistan that is known for its Beating Retreat ceremony, which is held each evening as the border closes. Visit at the end of the day to see the guards from both sides march in elaborate military costumes and face-off across the border in front of packed crowds.
The border is located 24 kilometers (15 mi) from Lahore and 32 kilometers (20 mi) from Amritsar. It is also 3 kilometers (1.9 mi) from the bordering village of Attari.

the Wahgah Zone of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.[1] The town is
famous for the Wagah border ceremony and also serves
as a goods transit terminal and a railway station between Pakistan and India.[2] Wagah
is situated 600 metres (2,000 ft) west of the border and lies on the
historic Grand Trunk Road between Lahore and Amritsar in
